CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Cabarrus County voters are part of North Carolina's 8th Congressional District, where Republican Mark Harris and Democrat Colby Watson are the two candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Besides Cabarrus, the district takes in Union, Anson, Stanly and Richmond counties, along with a portion of Mecklenburg County.
A voter guide questionnaire was sent to both candidates, and neither one had answered it, according to a report published Oct. 14, 2026. The report said any responses received later would be added to the guide.
