How we made this guide

  • Sources: every candidate, contest and ballot question comes from NC State Board of Elections files: the official candidate list and the referendum ballot text. Dates, sites and ID rules come from the State Board's website.
  • Order: candidates appear in official ballot order, which the State Board set by random drawing (how it works). Every candidate gets the same information: name as it appears on the ballot, and party.
  • No endorsements. Cabarrus Insider does not support or oppose any candidate, party or ballot question.
  • Corrections: if something here is wrong, email hello@cabarrusinsider.com and we will fix it and note the change on this page.
