Program name: Cabarrus Insider Alerts. Operated by: Cabarrus Insider, a North Carolina business.

Description: Cabarrus Insider Alerts is a paid, recurring, automated text message service ($2.99/month) that sends local news alerts for the Cabarrus County, NC towns you choose: severe weather warnings, Amber and Silver alerts, boil-water notices, major road closures, significant fires and crashes, and similar urgent local information. It is not an emergency service and is not affiliated with any government agency.

How you opt in

You opt in by entering your mobile number on cabarrusinsider.com/alerts, choosing your towns, checking the consent box and completing checkout. We send a confirmation text after you subscribe. Consent is not a condition of purchase of any other goods or services.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with local events, up to 5 messages per day. Non-urgent alerts are not sent between 10 PM and 6 AM Eastern; urgent alerts (such as tornado warnings) may be sent at any hour.

Cost

The subscription is $2.99 per month, billed through Stripe until canceled. Msg & data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

How to opt out

Text STOP to our number at any time to stop receiving messages. You'll receive one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent. Texting STOP ends message delivery; to also end billing, STOP cancels your subscription at the end of the current billing period (see our refund policy). You can also email us to cancel. Other opt-out keywords such as END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE and QUIT are also honored.

Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by factors outside our control, including your carrier, coverage and device.

Privacy

We do not share or sell your mobile number or text opt-in data and consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share your number only with the service providers we use to deliver messages and process payments (for example, our messaging provider and Stripe), solely to operate this program. Eligibility and changes

You must be the account holder or have the account holder's permission for the mobile number you enroll. If you change or give up your number, text STOP first. We may change these terms or end the program with notice by text or on this page.
